Start your week proper with an entire 12 hours of top-tier underground house and techno from some of the biggest names in the international touring circuit.

This past Saturday, 3rd of September, fabric London took over Rinse FM for 12 hours as part of the current #savefabric initiative to save the club from closure. The venue is facing an official review of its license by the local Islington Council and Metropolitan Police as a result of two overdose deaths that prompted local officials to close the club indefinitely pending the aforementioned incoming review. Recently, London’s Mayor Sadiq Khan has weighed in with an official statement replying to the #savefabric petition that has been doing the rounds to urge him to intervene in ensuring the club isn’t permanently shut down.

The launch will be accompanied by a release of the producer’s own “We Do What We Want,” a track that was debuted in recent sets at Junction 2 and Hideout to great crowd reaction. The track received play time on BBC Radio 1 when Fitzpatrick’s Hideout set was broadcast on the famed British radio station. Enjoy a snippet of the track below.

“We have become obsessed with pigeon-holing everything. Micro-managing our lives. Judging and labelling all before us. Consuming information at insane speeds but understanding less and less. Lapping up the corporate noise as The Man tells us “Do more. Conform. Get in line and wait your turn”

“Fuck that. We Are The Brave, we do what we want. We do things on our own terms. When we want and how we want. We are in control of our own destiny. We follow our own path. We create. We lead. We achieve. We be who we want to be. We decide what happens next. We Are The Brave!” – Alan Fitzpatrick

Alan Fitzpatrick Mixes fabric 87

alan-fitzpatrick“I really wanted to deliver a mix that had a timeless quality about it and that contained tracks that people were not very familiar with already. Crucial to achieving this was the special edits that feature in the mix, as well as the exclusive and unreleased material that I was able to include which I hope everyone enjoys listening to.” – Alan Fitzpatrick

Alan Fitzpatrick dominates in the era of techno, and it comes as no surprise that Fabric Records has invited him to mix fabric 87. Alan Fitzpatrick has been a part of Adam Beyer’s Drumcode family since his debut album release in 2005 and continues to rise through consistent hard work and quality releases.  Read more

Techno Therapy: Trus’me – I Want You (Alan Fitzpatrick Remix)

Alan Fitzpatrick

Alan Fitzpatrick is a household name amongst the techno community. With high energy marathon sets, world tours, and a vast production catalog he has risen to the top of the underground scene. Today’s dose of Techno Therapy is his floor-filling remix of Trus’me – I Want You.

This is one of those tracks that is getting heavy play from a wide variety of DJ’s. From Noir playing it at Loveland during ADE to Fitpatrick hammering it out in his own sets, the track has already gained traction in the playlists and dance floors worldwide.

The remix has everything you would hope for with Alan Fitzpatrick on remix duty. For starters, the low end and kick are enough to shift the party into another gear. Add in some tight closed hats with a vocal that literally hits “deep inside of you”, and you have the recipe for a heavy dance floor track. The track takes on serious club room vibes when the synth line comes splashing in and continues to push the limits of the dance floor. Needless to say, this is another bomb from Fitzpatrick, and is just what the doctor ordered for this week’s Techno Therapy.
