Alex Twitchy is a Russian producer and DJ with an eclectic style of House that combines elements of Deep House, Tech House and Garage House.
His own productions and sets are characterized by powerful dynamics and aggressive bass lines, with releases on labels such as Audio Rehab, OneFold Records, White Widow Records, Sleazy G, Plus Recordings, Monotonik Records, Delicious Recordings, House Of Hustle, House of Bangerz, G-Mafia Records and more.
Synthek is a Berlin based DJ and producer, owner of Natch Records and STK imprint. Always seeking for new influences, over the past years the style of his sets and productions has faced a constant evolution, focusing on deep rhythmics and powerful, introspective vibes.
Following few successful EPs on Natch Records, he released his debut album Unwise, in collaboration with label partner Audiolouis. Unwise, seen as their last co-produced effort, got consecutively remixed by Polar Inertia, Antigone and Varg among others. Synthek started curating the booking of New Faces Wednesdays at Tresor Berlin in 2014, becoming a respected presence behind the decks of the legendary venue and especially so for his closing sets. The idea of creating STK, a self titled imprint and home of his own productions only, gives him the freedom to experiment new approaches to music production and reshape his signature sound. The initial wave of 3 EPs entitled VERSE, launched in July 2015, brought him to look slightly away from the dance floor, and finally orienting towards mind-twisting and psychedelic compositions. Beside releases on STK, since his last appearance on Attic Music, Synthek has released new material such as his MRI EP on Russian label Wunderblock, a remix alongside Svreca on Spanish imprint Redpoint Alert, and a contribution for a compilation on OVUNQVE.
This year Synthek released Transitions of Life on Natch Records, his first solo LP. The 11-tracker came out on April 18th, the unfolding of a two-year transformational period that saw Synthek cross along rough roads and tribulations to reveal an intimate personal journey of revelation through emotional downshift, spiritual upheaval and cerebral quandary.
Synthetk is this week’s guest on Global Vibe Radio, where he presents the last 3 hours of his 7 hour set at KHIDI in Georgia from earlier in 2017. We also took the chance to chat with him about projects past, present and future. Enjoy the mix and read on for the exclusive interview!
The 67th episode of GVR comes from Italian techno producer and DJ Diego Amura.
Born in Naples in 1989, Diego developed a strong passion for electronic music as he was growing up around Neapolitan club culture as a teenager. He started mixing at the age of 16 locally, catching the eye of numerous promoters as he showed talented skills behind the decks. In 2011, he was chosen to be part of the infamous Nice To Be project where his collaboration granted him the possibility to grow and push the limits as an artist. It’s when his own style began to shape towards Techno that Diego was inspired to make his own music, and when his unique personality grew as an artist. His various releases are among respected labels such as Konsequent Records, Nowhere, Etruria Beat, N2B Black Series, Planet Rhythm. Diego’s career is developing fast with his prominent releases and his experience behind his music knowledge.

Last week we covered how the return of techno to the Underground Stage at Movement Electronic Music Festival was a positive move that, in our eyes, elevated the festival experience to what we would expect out of the Movement brand.
The stage, which this year was hosted by Resident Advisor for the first time ever, was the home of artists the likes of drumcell, Rrose, Headless Horseman, Adam X and Perc, Ben Sims, DVS1 and many more.
RA has just released a selection of live sets from the weekend, which we present to you below:
This week’s GVR is a two-hour LIVE recording by London-based producer and live act Saytek.
He was a special guest on our Facebook page this past Sunday, where he jammed out LIVE from his studio in London for two hours, all music and sounds created by Saytek himself. The North London-based producer is renowned for his unique ability to bring his widely acclaimed studio productions – which feature a unique blend of deep techno & tough house grooves and dubby, acidic hues – into the live arena. This ability is exemplified by his Facebook Live Jams which have received views well in excess of one million; and views for individual videos often running into the hundreds of thousands. He writes produces and performs everything live, using a variety of equipment including Elektron Analog 4 & Analog Rtym, Ableton, Korg: Monotron Delay, Kaos Pad & Volca: Bass, Sample, Keys, Novation Impulse 25, Native Instruments Maschine and lots more.
Saytek’s musical output is prolific and includes EPs and live albums on his own Cubism label, along with 12″ and digital releases on labels such as Liebe*Detail, Soma, Bedrock, My Favorite Robot Records, Wiggle, Monique Musique, Fabric (London Club), Golden Gate Club Records, My Favourite Freaks, KMS and many more. His work has graced the playlists of the world’s most elite and eminent DJs including Carl Cox, Laurent Garnier, Steve Lawler and Marcel Dettman, among many. Saytek was nominated for 2013 Best Live Act by DJ Mag; with Mixmag awarding Album Of The Month in the same year.

Anthony Jimenez got his start as a DJ back in 2003, gaining experience playing records spanning several genres before finding his niche in techno. Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, the DJ and producer was drawn to the dark and cavernous sound of techno when he moved to Detroit, going on to become a mainstay at Blank Code‘s Scene parties.
Time Under Tension, his 2014 debut EP released on Blank Code, made waves in the international techno scene, receiving support and plays by the likes of Annie Hall, Brendon Moeller, Exium, DJ Hyperactive, Krenzlin, Pfirter and Rebekkah. A tastemaker in his own right, Anthonys own productions are a mirror representation of the hard word and tenacity he adopts in every studio session and DJ set. Driven by the raw and primal nature of techno, his DJ arrangements and original productions are characterized by broody and deep musical explorations peppered with hypnotic and rhythmic sonic experiences. His signature sound has made him a local favorite in a city that not only gave birth to techno, but continues to push the envelope for the genre’s future progress with a selection of top-tier talent in both the producer and DJ categories.
His skills have not gone unnoticed, landing Jimenez coveted spots alongside some of technos greatest names in the international touring circuit including Monoloc, Silent Servant, Dasha Rush, Regis. Perc, Adam X, Headless Horseman and Dustin Zahn just to name a few. In 2015 came what some describe as the coronation gig for any techno DJ in Detroit – a booking at Movement Electronic Music Festival among the world’s techno elite.
2016 saw Anthony release a new EP with Blank Code, welcoming the current year with gigs in Detroit, Colombia for an Official Movement Pre-Party, Minneapolis and a return to Movement Electronic Music Festival at the end of this month, where he is scheduled to play at the Underground Stage as well as at an afterparty at The Works on Saturday night.
His one-hour mix for Global Vibe Radio’s 61st episode is a live recording from his Minneapolis gig on April 22nd. Enjoy it below and read on for our interview with the man himself, who we chose as one of the undercards not to miss on this upcoming Movement’s stacked lineup.
The 60th episode of Global Vibe Radio comes courtesy of house duo and Yoshitoshi recording artists Wolf Story.
“There are many stories about wolves and hunters. From Little Red Riding Hood to the Chronicles of Narnia, one thing you can be sure of is that a wolf will never be too far from the action. Applying the mysticism of our canine friends to their musical output, Miami based duo Steve Sanx and Rico from Paris formed Wolf Story.” Data Transmission

This week it’s the turn of Los Angeles audio-visual project Motionen to step up to the Global Vibe Radio decks for what is now our 59th episode.
Composed of Matt Salamone and Carlos Matamoros (a.k.a Altrd Being), the duo produce techno, acid, ambient and dub, and DJ both individually and as a duo. They are also the founders of Ascetic Limited, a young imprint that focuses on the driving sounds of acid, ambient, and deep techno. Since its fairly recent inception, the record label has come out with two strong releases, EPs featuring tracks and remixes by the likes of Christian Gerlach, Dorian Gray, HOBI, Deepbass and Motionen themselves.
2017 is looking like a busy year for Motionen. They began the year with a label showcase in Los Angeles featuring Deepbass and Reggie Van Oers and have just announced Mike Parker as the headliner of their next event in LA on June 24th. Musically they have upcoming release on Lanthan.audio and OFF white records out of Italy and are slated to perform at Synthetik Audio, a Movement weekend day party at The Works.
